What contracting us actually means

One supplier, one contract, one invoice

Cleaning, grounds, laundry and warehouse support can sit under a single service agreement instead of four, with one account manager answering for all of them.

A special employment centre, not a subcontractor chain

The people on your site are our employees, hired under a workforce where the majority are people with disabilities, and paid under the applicable collective agreement.

Job coaching built into the service

Each team has a supervisor and support staff who adapt the task, the pace and the station to the person. That is what keeps quality steady rather than being a concession to it.

Service measured, not assumed

Scope, frequency, checklists and incident reporting are written down at the start, so a review meeting is about the record rather than about impressions.

Local to Cantabria

Crews are recruited and managed in the region, which is why cover for absence, a shift change or an extra deep clean is a phone call rather than a project.

Outsourcing that also creates employment

Most companies outsource cleaning or warehouse support for ordinary reasons: the work is continuous, it needs supervision, and it is not what the business is for. We take it on for the same ordinary reasons — and because every hour of it is paid work for someone who has had to argue harder than most to be hired.

GRUPO SIFU CANTABRIA SOCIEDAD operates as a special employment centre. That is a specific legal form in Spain, not a label we chose: the majority of the workforce are people with disabilities, employed on standard contracts, with support staff whose job is to adapt the post to the person rather than the other way round. A bench is raised, a route is simplified, a task is split in two, a shift is organised around a treatment schedule.

What a client sees is a service team like any other: on site when agreed, in uniform, with a supervisor who knows the building. What changes is where the money goes. The contract funds jobs that the open labour market, left alone, tends not to create.

How a contract starts

  1. You tell us what needs covering

Send the enquiry with the site, the service and roughly how often. No documents needed at this stage.

  2. We walk the site

We visit with the person who will manage the account, measure the areas or the volumes, and note access, shifts, storage and anything already going wrong.

  3. You get a written scope and quote

Tasks by area and frequency, headcount, hours, equipment and consumables, and what is explicitly excluded — so you can compare it line by line with what you have now.

  4. Hiring, training and handover

We select and train the team for your site, agree the start date, and run the first weeks with extra supervision while the routine settles.

  5. Regular review

Checklists, incidents and changes to scope are reviewed with you on an agreed cycle, and the plan is rewritten when the site changes.

For procurement and HR teams

Two questions usually come up before the technical ones, so here they are answered plainly.

Does this count towards our disability employment obligations?

Spanish law requires larger employers to reserve a proportion of their workforce for people with disabilities, and allows alternative measures — among them, contracting services or supplies from a special employment centre — in cases where direct hiring is not possible and the corresponding authorisation is obtained. Whether your organisation qualifies, and for what, depends on your headcount and your file with the labour authority. We provide the documentation our side of the contract requires; the declaration remains yours.

And in a public tender?

Public bodies in Spain can reserve certain contracts for special employment centres, and can weight social criteria in others. We are set up to be tendered: service scope, staffing, prevention and quality documentation are prepared in the format procurement asks for, and we would rather answer the specification you actually published than a generic profile.

If you are at the stage of drafting the specification, talk to us early — it is cheaper to shape the scope before it is published than to clarify it afterwards.

Ask for a quote

Tell us the site and the service you need covered. We will come back to arrange a visit.

  • An account manager from Cantabria answers — not a call centre.
  • First reply is to agree a site visit, not to send a price list.
  • The quote comes written against the scope we measured together.
